CONNECT BEFORE CRISIS
The Mental Health Support and Information Line (310-6789) provides 24/7 support if you are worried, feeling upset, or just want to talk with someone (no area code needed; available throughout British Columbia).
PREFER TO CHAT ONLINE?
Youth in BC is an online resource where youth in distress can get help by having a real-time online chat with a trained volunteer. Available from noon to 1:00 a.m. every day. You can also get email support from the Crisis Centre’s professional staff by emailing [email protected].
Youthspace.ca provides emotional support and crisis intervention service for young people under 30 across North America. They have online chat and texting options.
mindcheck.ca, is a young adult-focused interactive tool where visitors can check out how they’re feeling and connect to get support early and quickly.
LOOKING FOR PEER SUPPORT?
The Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre provides information and support to BC children, youth and their families on mental health and substance use issues. The Centre offers peer support to youth and parents and to individuals struggling with eating disorders so that they can find the resources they need to make informed decisions and
gain access to appropriate services.
The Centre is located at Children’s Hospital in Vancouver and is a free resource for all BC youth and families. It is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Kids Help Phone (1-800-668-6868) is a toll-free, 24-hour phone counselling and referral service for young people ages 20 and under. You can also visit Ask Us Online to write a question in one of their forums and get a response from a counsellor.
QMUNITY Gab Youth provides information, support and referrals to queer youth under 25. Prideline (1-800-566-1170) is QMUNITY’s peer support/information/referral phone line. It is available Monday to Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
